Beatrice Palloni

My name is Beatrice Palloni and I am an Italian painter and illustrator. I live in Prato, in the beautiful Tuscany, and I have always been involved in art in its various forms: theater, painting, comics and animation.

I studied set design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence and after after I continued my studies in animation at the Academy of digital arts Nemo Academy, in Florence. Subsequently I focused on drawing and oil painting techniques with the Master painter Bruno Di Maio, with whom I discovered the wonderful world of painting. Driven by the desire to learn I started attending Byzantine iconography courses under the Master iconographer Maria Galie to learn the technique of making Christian icons, that I am gradually improving. Eager to discover new techniques, I am currently learning the technique of painting in pastel in courses organised by the Spanish Master Rubén Belloso Adorna.

In my paintings I have taken inspiration from the nature, from the landscapes my land offers and from the great Masters of the past such as Caravaggio, Raphael, Sandro Botticelli, and from 19th century painters such as William-Adolphe Bouguereau, Alfred Thompson Bricher and Albert Bierstadt. I paint landscapes, seascapes, still lifes, portraits, Christian icons and art copies, mainly with oil on canvas or egg tempera and pure gold leaf on wooden panel. In the realization of my works I use only materials and colors of the highest quality that guarantee the durability of the image over time. I am sure that through my works you will be able to find a window on the beauty of the world, something that will give you a special emotion.
